Orange, the company who exclusively offers Apple’s iPhone in France recently reported that the number of customers who travel to France to purchase an unlocked iPhone is less than 10 percent. They hinted that the high price of the device is a turn-off for customers.
The company also confirmed that they are developing applications via the SDK which was released by Apple last month. Georges Penalver, Executive Vice President of Strategic Marketing for Orange Labs stated that “We are developing applications for the iPhone”.
They would not however, confirm whether or not those same applications will be made available to UK O2 iPhone customers.
