Fans of platinum-selling R&B artist John Legend bring the same high expectations for each new album to every live concert. On Legend’s current tour, music director Eugene “Man-Man” Roberts and his band manage to meet – and beat – those expectations, playing their best studio sounds and fresh live riffs through MacBook Pro notebooks running Logic Studio and MainStage. “I used to carry a rack of modules to my gigs”, explains Roberts, “but with MainStage I don’t need them. If I have my MacBook Pro, if I have my session, I have my show”.
